The University of Music and Performing Arts (KUG) and the Science Park Graz are linked by a long-term partnership, which was officially renewed in 2020. The start-up Atmoky, enabling a hyper-realistic 3-D audio experience over headphones and loudspeakers, was founded by KUG alumni and is located at the Science Park Graz.
The Wissenstransferzentrum (WTZ) Süd [Knowledge Transfer Center] pools the know-how of six universities and three universities of applied sciences in Styria and Carinthia. The University of Music and Performing Arts Graz currently is a collaborating partner in three projects devoted to innovative ways of knowledge transfer, crowdsourcing, and digital ethics in the sciences. The WTZ Süd is supported by the aws [Austrian Business Service], funded by the Nationalstiftung für Forschung, Technologie und Entwicklung [National Foundation for Research, Technology, and Development].
