Master's Programme Perfomance Practice in Contemporary Music (PPCM) - Instrumental

Klangforum Wien mentors young musicians on the subjects strings, winds and percussion instruments as well as harp, piano and accordion, passing on its many years of experience in the field of contemporary music making.
Key emphasis will be on
- Instrumental instruction, solo repertoire, playing techniques, chamber music, ensemble performance
- Collaboration with composers of renown such as Beat Furrer, Gerd Kühr, Georg Friedrich Haas, Bernhard Lang, Klaus Lang and others
- Interdisciplinary projects – music and dance theatre, opera, electronics, improvisation
- Regular concerts/performance practice together with Klangforum Wien
- Background knowledge in music theory, compositional techniques, notation, publications of new music, historical overview and aesthetics
