Risk Management

Risk Management identifies existing risks to the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and attempts, according to the level of risk, to control them and deliver a more favourable outcome for the university. This helps to ensure that the university achieves its objectives while fulfilling its duties.

Risk management is the process of systematically and continuously analysing the risks involved in processes and procedures. The ISO 31000 standard breaks the risk management process down into four phases

  1. systematic risk identification
  2. risk analysis and assessment
  3. risk treatment
  4. risk reporting and monitoring

Based on the processes introduced at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, we produce reports on the risk situation at the university with regard to the Austrian Investment and Financial Controlling Regulation (Beteiligungs- und Finanzcontrolling-Verordnung) and recommendation issued by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF-11.111/0003-IV/7a/2018).
